Last Saturday, the Bruins beat Cal State Bakersfield 17-5 in UCLA’s MSPF home opener to move to 2-0 in MPSF play. In that game, ten different Bruins scored. Freshman sensation Maddie Musselman led UCLA with 4 goals including the eventual game-winner to start the second quarter. Rachel Fattal had a hat trick and her third goal of the game was the 200th of her collegiate career.
Fattal is now just a goal away from tying Katie Rulon for third place on UCLA’s all-time scoring list and 39 goals away from becoming UCLA’s all-time leading scorer.
Devin Grab and Alexa Tielmann both added two goals each while Kodi Hill, Mackenzie Barr, Lizette Rozeboom, Alys Williams, Aubrey Monahan, and Nicole Reynolds all scored as well for UCLA.
Today, they are at home again to take on fourth-ranked UC Berkeley. The Bruins beat the Golden Bears 12-11 three weekends ago at the Barbara Kalbus Invitational at UC Irvine when Rachel Fattal scored with 17 seconds left to give UCLA the victory in the tournament’s third place game. This time, UCLA hopes it isn’t that close.
