It was another easy game for the #3 UCLA Women’s Water Polo team last night against #8 Hawai’i as the Bruins won 12-4. Alexa Thielman scored the first two goals of the game for UCLA while Kodi Hill scored the Bruins’ third goal of the game to give UCLA a 3-1 lead after the first quarter.
In the second quarter, Mackenzie Barr made it 4-1 before Maddie Musselman added two goals to make it 6-1 at halftime.
The second half didn’t get any much for Hawai’i. The third quarter ended with the Bruins up 10-2. In the third, UCLA scored on goals from Musselman who completed a hat trick, Bronte Halligan, Nicole Reynolds and Alys Williams.
In the fourth quarter, following a Bruin goal by Rachel Whitelegge, Hawai’i tried to mount a comeback, but they could only manage two fourth quarter goals. Lizette Rozebloom capped the game with UCLA’s 12th goal of the game as time expired.
Today, the Bruins finish up play in the Hawai’i Invitational when they take on #12 UCSB at 3 pm PT.
