UCLA got the job done last weekend, taking two of three from Baylor in Waco, and they backed it up with a good midweek thumping of UCSB to push their record on the season to an impressive 502. Now they get the chance to return home for the first time since the opening weekend of the season with three games against Wright St., the first of which is tonight at 6 pm PT.
As is always the case on Fridays, Adam Plutko will get the nod for the Bruins. He is 1-0 with a 2.13 ERA on the season and is 8-0 with a 1.14 ERA in his last nine starts, dating back to last season. He will be opposed by Casey Henn, a senior right-hander, who is off to a good start this season. He's allowed just three runs, two earned in 11.1 innings, going 1-1 with a 1.54 ERA.
If you're not at the stadium tonight, tune in online with John Ramey and Tim Wilhelm, who have the call from the ballpark. You can also follow along on GameTracker, while my UCLA baseball twitter has all your updates, observations and news, as always. This is your open thread so keep up updated and share your thoughts all evening.
