As Ryan recapped the Bruins were a little shaky but did what they had to do in picking up a series opening win against Wright State last night at JRS. They are looking to keep it going by winning their third straight series to open the season this afternoon.
The action started a little less than an hour ago at JRS. Bruins are up by a score of 3-1 in bottom of the 3rd. Junior right-hander Nick Vander Tuig (1-1, 1.50 ERA) is on the mound for UCLA. Wright State started their junior RHP Taylor Braun (0-1, 3.38).
If you're not at the stadium, tune in online with John Ramey and Tim Wilhelm, who have the call from the ballpark. You can also follow along on GameTracker, while my UCLA baseball twitter has all your updates, observations and news, as always. This is your open thread so keep up updated and share your thoughts this afternoon.
GO BRUINS.
