UCLA At Arizona St. Friday Baseball Thread: Trying To Get Even With The Devils

The Bruins fell to the Sun Devils on Thursday, and have to get even with them tonight.

UCLA's series opener in Tempe didn't go as planned. They mustered eight hits against Trevor Williams, which is pretty good, but only plated one run, while Arizona St. turned a measly four hits off of Adam Plutko into four runs to come away 4-1 winners. Now the Bruins have to bounce back tonight and beat the Sun Devils to give them a chance at a series win tomorrow.

Nick Vander Tuig will be on the mound for the Bruins tonight, and he brings a 4-2 record and 1.50 ERA into the contest. He's been absolutely sensational this season and he will have to be even better tonight because he's going up against ASU's freshman phenom Ryan Kellogg, who is 5-0 with a 0.71 ERA and threw a no-hitter last weekend at Oregon St.

If you're not in Tempe, listen in to John Ramey and Tim Welhelm or follow along with GameTracker. This is your open thread so chime in with updates and observations as the Bruins try to get even in the desert.
