UCLA vs. Wright St. Baseball Open Thread: Aiming For the Sweep

The Bruins are hunting for the sweep vs. Wright St.

Jayne Kamin-Oncea-US PRESSWIRE

We're still waiting for UCLA to starting clicking offensively, defensively and on the mound, but so far they have done well to pick up wins even as they sort through some of the kinks you would expect from a team with so many changes. This weekend has been the perfect example of that as the Bruins have struggled offensively, but have picked up two wins this weekend and are going for the sweep today against Wright St.

Grant Watson is on the mound for the Bruins and enters with a 1-0 record and 2.13 ERA. His command has been excellent in his first two starts, easing any concerns UCLA may have had about the talented southpaw. Robby Sexton will get the nod for the Raiders, a left-hander who is 1-1 with a 2.89 ERA this season.

If you're not at the stadium today, tune in online with John Ramey and Tim Wilhelm, who have the call from the ballpark. You can also follow along on GameTracker, while my UCLA baseball twitter has all your updates, observations and news, as always. This is your open thread so keep up updated and share your thoughts all afternoon.
