So a friend of mine sent this gif graphic via email expressing his general reaction to what has transpired in Boston this week and the shock and horror we have been experiencing as a nation.
Well I am glad this week is coming to an end as well. We needed it. Although it's been uplifting to see how sports allowed "the Hub" to rally as a community.
Now here is a college football note that ties Boston, Notre Dame and UCLA together. Notre Dame football program is planning to honor Boston by wearing special "B" decal in their football helmets. Here is how that "B" looks:

Needless to say we all know where that "B" etched in blue and gold comes from. Just browse through our baseball section and look at all pictures. I don't think there is any doubt where that "B" came from. Yes, we know. The "B" is used by Boston Red Sox and the Boston Marathon's colors are blue and gold. So when you merge the two you get the results above. But when it comes to college athletics everyone knows where that B comes from and it was immediately pointed out to McMurphy in the Twitter stream.
Hey, you're welcome Irish. It's all good.
Needless to say the Bruins on this coast stand united with the Bruins in the North East.
GO BRUINS.
