UCLA vs. Oregon St. Friday Baseball Open Thread: This Is A Big One

Oregon St. are the Pac-12 favorites, ranked No. 6 in the country and are off to a great start in the conference at 5-1 after series against the tough Arizona schools. Right now, the Pac-12 title runs through the Beavers and this weekend, the Bruins have to prove they are up to the task when they host Oregon St. That is especially true after they lost their series to Arizona St. last weekend, dropping them to 6-3 in the Pac-12, a half-game behind the Beavers and two full games behind 8-1 Oregon.

Adam Plutko will look to get the Bruins off on the right foot against the Beavers tonight, and they will need him to be in top form. He hasn't dominated this season the way that people expected, going just 2-2 with a 3.45 ERA, but he has to be great tonight because he's going up against the phenomenal Matt Boyd, who is 6-0 with a 1.69 ERA.
