UCLA needs a series win this weekend, but after winning the series open on Friday to put themselves in position to clinch the set, they fell to Oregon St. yesterday as the Beavers knotted up the series at a game apiece. That brings us to today, with the series on the line and a gigantic series win going the direction of one of these teams.
Grant Watson will start for UCLA, which is good news for the Bruins. They haven't lose a Sunday game yet this season and that is due in large part to Watson, who is 5-0 with a 2.30 ERA. Ben Wetzler, who is 0-1 with a 2.41 ERA will get the nod for Oregon St.
If you're not out at the ballpark this afternoon, listen in to John Ramey and Tim Welhelm or follow along with GameTracker. My UCLA baseball Twitter also has all the updates, notes and analysis you need. This is your open thread so chime in with updates and observations as the Bruins try to pick up a big series win.
