UCLA had a great weekend in North Carolina, but that didn't carry over to Tuesday, when they were upended by Loyola Marymount. Now their three-game win streak is over and they are down at 7-5 on the season in need of some key wins. That begins tonight against Pepperdine in the first game of what's supposed to be the Dodgertown Classic.
James Kaprielian will take the mound for the Bruins and brings with him a 2-1 record and 0.90 ERA. He was spectacular last weekend, striking out 11 in eight innings of one-hit ball and he'll need to be nearly as good tonight. That's because the Waves are giving the ball to Corey Miller, a right-handed senior who is 1-1 with a 0.35 ERA on the young season.
As always, John Ramey will be on the call so you can listen along with him. You can also follow along on my UCLA baseball Twitter and on Gamecast. This is your open thread so fill it with updates, thoughts and whatever else you have as UCLA starts off their weekend.
