UCLA's up and down season continues. Four straight wins were followed by three straight losses, only for the Bruins to win three straight, but things went downhill again and after last night's 7-6 loss to Pepperdine, UCLA has dropped two straight. Now they look to get back on track against Houston, which isn't a great plan seeing as they are 8-2 and pasted USC last night.
The Bruins will hope Grant Watson can straighten things out and if he can replicate last week's start, he just might. The junior threw eight innings of shutout ball to lower his ERA to 2.37 on the year. He'll be opposed by Jake Lemoine, who is 1-1 with a 0.42 ERA this season. He took the loss last weekend against Texas, but that was because of two unearned runs so the Bruins will have his work cut out for them.
As always, John Ramey will be on the call so you can listen along with him. You can also follow along on my UCLA baseball Twitter and on Gamecast. This is your open thread so fill it with updates, thoughts and whatever else you have as UCLA tries to get back in the win column.
