Yesterday, the Bruins scored for four runs in the seventh inning en route to a 4-2 victory over Oklahoma.

The Sooners scored first in the top of the sixth inning following a lead-off walk to Oklahoma left fielder Hunter Hadley who stole second and then advanced to third on a Cade Harris bunt. He then scored on a sacrifice fly to center by DH Hunter Southerland.

But, UCLA rallied in the bottom of the seventh. Luke Persico started the rally by tripling to left-center and then scored on a Christoph Bono sacrifice fly. Scott Jarvis walked and that chased Sooner starter Alec Hansen. Trent Chatterton walked and gave the Bruins two men on with one out. Jake Pries walked when he pinch hit for catcher Dan Rosica, giving the Bruins the bases loaded. Jarvis scored on a fielder's choice by Brett Urabe to short. Following a walk to Brett Stephens, Eric Filia singled to right scoring both Chatterton and Urabe and making the score UCLA 4, Oklahoma 1.

The Sooners added a run in the top of the ninth, but Brian Gadsby was able to close it out for the Bruins while earning his third save of the season. The Bruins are now 2-0 this weekend in the Dodger Stadium College Baseball Classic.

This afternoon, UCLA will look to complete the sweep when they square off against Southern Cal. UCLA sends Kyle Molnar (0-1, 6.75 ERA) to the hill against Brett Wheatley (0-1, 5.23 ERA) for the Trojans.
