The first basketball exhibition game is in 13 days! Do you feel the excitement in the air?

Oh, sorry about that, maybe that's just the stink of the basketball coaching search still lingering.

Either way, it's Pac-12 Media day from Pac-12 studios in San Francisco, and we can get 10 minute sound bites of all the coaches across the Pac-12. Watch below starting at 10am:

See, they saved the best for last. Hopefully Kyle will keep this entertaining. And we can also watch on another player we passed on during the Howland era in Spencer Dinwiddie.

In brief basketball news, the media has anointed Arizona as the winner of this year's Pac-12 Sweepstakes, with UCLA coming in second, and somehow garnering a first place vote, as they realize we're talented but coached by (TR)Alford and a Bobby Knight protege.

In the preseason Coaches Poll, UCLA comes in at 23. Kentucky is the preseason #1, with Michigan State, Louisville, Duke and Arizona (sigh) rounding out the top 5. And look, the coach we didn't even dare call has his Virginia Commonwealth squad at 15. Oregon comes in at 18.

This is your open thread, to begin the slow death by watching UCLA Basketball.
