2014 March Madness: Sunday Tournament Conference Finals Open Thread

Open thread tracking live conference tournament finals around the country,

Ethan Miller

Before we get to the official announcement of the 68 teams and the brackets (Bruins Nation will have a separate open thread for the Selection Show which begins at 3 pm PT on CBS) there are still 4 more games to play, and they have important implications in seeding. These tournament finals are also very important in determining conference championships since an entire regular season can't be trusted and no players will get hurt or anything in providing an additional source of revenue to the conferences.

As for bubble teams and top-8 seeds to track - here is our SBN colleague Chris Dobbertean:

As it stands right now, my Last Four In and First Four Out are unchanged from this morning. However, I may make some changes as I review selection sheets during the evening. It's a different story for the top two lines, however, as Michigan and Wisconsin trade places.

No. 1 seeds: Florida (South), Arizona (West), Wichita State(Midwest), Michigan (East)
No. 2 seeds: Villanova (East), Kansas (Midwest), Duke (South), Wisconsin (West)

Last Four IN: Nebraska, SMU, Dayton, BYU
First Four OUT: Arkansas, Florida State, California, Minnesota

Here's the schedule for today:

ACC Tournament Final 10 am PT on ESPN

(7) Duke v. (6) Virginia

Atlantic 10 Tournament Final - 10 am PT on CBS

St. Joe vs (23) VCU

SEC Tournament Final 12:15 pm PT on ESPN

Kentucky vs (1) Florida

B1G Ten Tournament Final 12:30 PT on CBS

(22) Michigan St vs (8) Michigan

This is our open thread to discuss today's games, more fallout from last night's Pac-12 Tourney final loss, and any and all thoughts on who goes where in the brackets. Be looking for the Selection Show Open thread this afternoon around 2:30 PT. Have at it.

GO BRUINS!!
