Jalen Hill announced his commitment to UCLA tonight and, in so doing, became UCLA's second commit for the 2017 basketball recruiting class.
Thanks to all the coaches that recruited me but I would like to announce that I have committed to UCLA #blessed pic.twitter.com/SNRJvjk8r3

Hill attends Corona Centennial HS and also plays for the Compton Magic AAU team. Hill was a part of the USA Basketball U16 team which won the FIBA Americas gold medal just two weeks ago.
The USA Basketball website lists Hill as 6'9" Forward weighing 210 lbs. This past season, Hill led Centennial to a 26-6 record and the CIF Southern Section Regional title while averaging 6.5 points per game, 5.8 rebounds per game and 1.3 blocks per game.
Thanks to Tony Hamilton who posted a video of Jalen's 2014-15 highlights to YouTube.
Jalen's Dad, George, played basketball at Kansas State and Jalen wears #33 because his dad also wore that number. With no disrespect intended to Jalen or his dad, he may want to start thinking about what number he will wear at UCLA because, unfortunately, #33 has been retired.
Regardless, we want to welcome Jalen to Bruins Nation! And, welcome to Westwood!
Go Bruins!!!
