A couple of Bruins got together recently to discuss UCLA basketball. That’d be UCLA’s starting freshman point guard Lonzo Ball and former Bruin and current ESPN SportsCenter anchor Cari Champion.
Ball talked about why he chose to come to UCLA, his unconventional shooting form, his brothers, and his expectations for this season.
Lavar Ball—father of Lonzo, LiAngelo, and LaMelo—spoke with CBSSports.com’s Gary Parrish and made another of his bold predictions:
"All three of my boys are going to be one-and-done," Lavar told me late Wednesday after Lonzo finished with 13 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists in UCLA's 102-62 easy victory over UC Santa Barbara.
It’s still the middle of December, but Joe Lunardi, ESPN’s Bracketologist, is predicting the top seeds for the NCAA Tournament will be full of the sport's traditional Blue Bloods.
Lastly, we lost a good one yesterday:
The sports community lost a great one today. Rest In Peace Craig Sager. #RIPSager
