Tonight, UCLA welcomes the Arizona State Sun Devils to Pauley Pavilion. The Sun Devils are coached by former Duke Blue Devil Bobby Hurley. The Bruins have won five of the last six meetings between the teams and the last six home games against ASU. UCLA is riding an eleven-game home winning streak heading into tonight’s game. A victory tonight would move the Bruins to 19-1 which would be the team’s best start since the 1991-92 season.
In Hurley’s second season at ASU, his tenure so far would probably be considered disappointing to most Sun Devil fans. ASU went 15-17 last year and they finished in 11th place in the Pac-12, a game behind UCLA. Things don’t appear to be getting much better this season either. The team is currently 9-9 overall and 2-3 in conference play.
The team’s leading scorers are Torian Graham, who is averaging 18.1 points per game, and Tra Holder, who is averaging 16.9 points per game.
