Today’s game got a little harder late yesterday when the NCAA cleared Allonzo Trier to start playing now that the banned substance that made him ineligible is out of his system. Bruce Pasco reports that the Arizona Athletic Department issued a statement on this last night.

This throws an interesting wrench into things because, tactically, Steve Alford doesn’t always seem to able to adjust to the unexpected. So, this will make the game a little more interesting, if it wasn’t already interesting enough.
Speaking of interesting, UCLA will honor Presidential Medal of Freedom recipient and Bruin Legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar both pregame and at halftime. As part of the ceremonies, Kareem will address the crowd during halftime. Fans in attendance will receive a commemorative “Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Day” poster.
Be sure to check out our Arizona preview if you haven’t already. Here’s how to watch.
