Bye-Bye Balls! LiAngelo and LaMelo Ball Have Both Signed with Lonzo’s Agent

The Ball Family saga at UCLA is now officially over.

When it was announced that admitted thief LiAngelo Ball would no longer be attending UCLA, we were hopeful that it would be the last we heard from the Ball family.

It now appears to be true.

According to ESPN’s Jeff Goodman, both LiAngelo and younger brother LaMelo have signed with Lonzo’s agent Harrison Gaines. That ends any speculation that LaMelo will ever play for the UCLA Bruins. Goodman notes that the plan is for the brothers to both play on the same team overseas.

Goodman quotes LaVar Ball:

I don't care about the money. I want them to go somewhere where they will play them together on the court at the same time. The priority is for the boys to play on the same team.

Ball continued:

I don't know the deals and who is offering what. I'm letting Harrison handle all that, but I know there are a few teams interested. I just need to get them playing again.

Today’s announcement essentially proves that LaVar’s plan to “home school” LaMelo has always been a sham.

Hopefully, the Chino Valley Unified School District decides to investigate LaVar’s “home school program” for LaMelo because California law requires children between ages six and eighteen be enrolled in school and LaMelo is still only 16.

At the same time, it’s good to know that UCLA will never have to deal with LaVar Ball again.

Go Bruins!
