There are multiple reports today that are saying that Aaron Holiday and Thomas Welsh will be soon declare for the NBA Draft without hiring agents.

Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports and FanRag Sports was the first to report it:

By not hiring an agent, a player may test the waters until May 24th and return to school without any penalty. Since neither Holiday or Welsh will not hire an agent, they will can opt to withdraw their names and return to UCLA for next season.

Jeff Borzello of ESPN writes:

Neither Holiday nor Welsh is projected to be drafted in June, with ESPN's Chad Ford ranking Holiday at No. 80 and Welsh at No. 119.

Holiday and Welsh would become the 6th and 7th players to be eligible for this year’s NBA. If all seven stay in the draft, GG Goloman would be the only player left on the roster who averaged more than 3 minutes per game.

Borzello adds that “Anigbogu didn't hire an agent, but he's leaning toward keeping his name in the draft.”

So, it looks like Holiday and Welsh may just be testing the waters to prepare for the future.
