The 2018-19 UCLA Men’s Basketball schedule continues to take shape as it was announced today that the Bruins will face the Michigan State Spartans in the second game of the Continential Tire Las Vegas Invitational Thanksgiving night doubleheader at Orleans Arena.
Texas and North Carolina will kickoff the action at 4:30 pm PT while the Bruins’ game will follow at approximately 7 pm PT.
The winners of Thursday night’s games will meet in the championship game on Friday, November 23 at 3:30 pm while the losers will play at 1 pm the same day.
The UCLA Bruins will play two home games as part of the tournament against teams to be announced. Those games will be played at Pauley Pavilion on Friday, November 16 and Monday, November 19.
It will be interesting to see what happens in Las Vegas, considering that Michigan State is coached by the highly-respected Tom Izzo, North Carolina is coached by Roy Williams and Texas is led by Shaka Smart, a coach many Bruin fans have wanted UCLA to hire and the fact that Bruin coach Steve Alford enters the season on the hot seat.
Go Bruins!
