UCLA Football Moves Up To #19 in CFP Rankings

The UCLA Bruins moved up four spots in this week's College Football Playoff Rankings after the win over Oregon State.

Troy Wayrynen-USA TODAY Sports

The second set of College Football Playoff Rankings are out. UCLA moved up to #19 this week from #23.

Believe it or not, there is still a possibility that the Bruins could make it into the Top 4. Of course, this will require some help from some of the teams currently ranked above UCLA including a Stanford win over #4 Notre Dame.

But, if the Bruins play well again this week against Wazzu and move up another 3 or 4 spots, a Top Ten spot will be on the line against Utah. Victories over Utah and Southern Cal will have them in the thick of it heading into the Pac-12 Championship Game against Stanford, which would be in the Top 4 by virtue of having defeated Notre Dame.

Then, it comes down to whether the Bruins can stop McCaffery and the Cardinal.

I know...I know...That's a lot of ifs and one very big if, but UCLA's Path to the Playoff is there again this year. The team showed a lot of heart last week and Wazzu, Utah, Southern Cal and Stanford are not Oregon State. The team can do it. The question is "Will they do it?"
