Bruin Bites: 4-star WR Terrell Bynum Interested in UCLA

The Big Story Out of Westwood Yesterday is Head Coach Jim Mora's Naming of Josh Rosen as Starting Quarterback of the UCLA Bruins.

Welcome to the August 27, 2015, iteration of Bruin Bites. Today we will focus on Josh Rosen and some recruiting news concerning a pair of wide receivers who are considering UCLA, one for 2016 and one for 2017.

Josh Rosen Selected to Start at QB for the Bruins

In case you've been living under a rock for the last 16 hours, or your cell phone died, Head Coach Jim Mora has named true freshman and early enrollee, Josh Rosen, as the starting quarterback for the UCLA Bruins. While part of me is happy for Josh, part of me feels for Jerry Neuheisel. I love that kid. Congratulations, Josh! I know you will represent the 4 letters with class and dignity.

Check out Bruins Nation's coverage of the announcement of Rosen. Although it is over ten minutes long, I strongly encourage you to take the time to watch Coach Mora's press interview about the announcement. You can tell that Mora really feels for Jerry. I thought Coach Mora's presser was first class all the way. Compare and contrast with the shenanigans taking place across town. Now if Coach Mora can just beat Stanford and Oregon!

Alloway Intends to Visit UCLA Again Before Choosing a School

Bruin Report Online is reporting that Damian Alloway, who was once thought to be a heavy Notre Dame lean, intends to take another visit to UCLA before making a final decision. This is good news for the Bruins. Alloway is a four star receiver out of Fontana High School. Alloway will also be taking visits to Wisconsin, Arizona State, and Washington. Good luck with respect to your decision, Damian! We would love to have you in Westwood.

Bynum Has Interest in UCLA

Junior wide receiver, Terrell Bynum, a four star receiver out of Servite High School and the number 2 receiver in California for 2017, has expressed interest in becoming a Bruin in its 2017 class. I know that is a long way off, but it is never too early to make an impression on a kid.

Bruin Report Online has an article on Bynum which discusses the schools he is interested in including those guys across town, Washington, Cal and Notre Dame. Bynum is primarily being recruited by UCLA wide receiver coach, Eric Yarber. Best of luck on your upcoming junior season, Terrell.

That's it for Bruin Bites today. Only 7 more days until college football and 9 more days until UCLA and Virginia square off at the Rose Bowl!  I cannot wait!

Go Bruins!!!!!!!!
