Happy September! As we draw nearer to game day for UCLA football (four more days!!), check out What's Bruin.
Football
As most know by now, the major story surrounding UCLA football today is the arrest of Ishmael Adams. To get up to speed, check out gbruin's article from yesterday. Adams' arraignment (when he is formally charged and enters a plea) is expected to be today, according to multiple sources, so keep an eye on Bruins Nation for updates on the situation.
ESPN has a brief video about Josh Rosen taking center stage at quarterback for the Bruins this weekend.
Football Recruiting
Today is the first day that colleges were able to contact juniors in high school for their respective Classes of 2017. As reported by 247 Sports, the UCLA Bruins coaching staff wasted no time in recruiting the top-ranked defensive tackle in the nation for the Class of 2017, Marvin Wilson, out of Bellaire Epispocal in Texas.
Four star Class of 2016 linebacker commit, Krys Barnes, remains committed to UCLA as he starts his senior season in high school, according to Tracy Pierson at Bruin Report Online.
Men's Basketball
Zack Hefland of the L.A. Times has an article on UCLA's pair of freshman guards, Prince Ali and Aaron Holiday.
Women's Soccer
YouTube has a fun video of several of the UCLA Women's Soccer players taking part in the "Dizzy Goal Challenge." Players circle 13 times around one ball just outside the top of the area, and then run to the spot to try to take a penalty kick. The Dizzy Goals Challenge is to raise awareness for The Global Goals, and numerous soccer players and teams have filmed themselves performing the challenge, including Gareth Bale, Liverpool FC, and Crystal Palace FC.
That's it for today's What's Bruin. Happy Tuesday and Go Bruins!!
