UCLA CB Ishmael Adams Released On Bail, Suspended Indefinitely

While the senior cornerback has been released from custody, Coach Mora will address the issue with the media after practice today.

Geoff Burke-USA TODAY Sports

According to the LA County Sheriff's Department, UCLA CB Ishmael Adams was released on bail at 6:24am this morning. This news was first reported by Chris Foster and Richard Winton of the LA Times.

He was arrested by UCPD at 3:36am Monday morning for allegedly using force to rob a cellphone from an Uber driver.

Originally, he was scheduled to appear in court this afternoon, but that no longer seems to be the case as the Sheriff's Department website lists his next court date as September 22nd at the LAX Superior Court.

While the website lists that bail is zero, it also shows that he was released on bond.

Meanwhile, Ted Miller of ESPN tweets that Coach Mora intends to address the matter this afternoon in his post-practice press conference.

Considering that the matter is still pending, I'd be surprised if Coach Mora says or does anything besides announcing that Adams is suspended indefinitely pending the resolution of the case.

UPDATE: Coach Mora has announced that Ismael Adams has been suspended indefinitely.
