UCLA Receiver Thomas Duarte Declares For NFL Draft [Updated]

On the day when the NFL is deciding which team or teams will play in the Los Angeles area next season, Thomas Duarte's dad has announced that Thomas will enter the NFL Draft.

Add Thomas Duarte to the list of UCLA underclassmen who are declaring for the draft.

Thomas' father Tim told the Orange County Register this morning that Thomas filed the paperwork on Monday. The NFL draft advisory committee gave Duarte a third round evaluation.

Last season, Duarte caught 53 passes including 10 touchdowns for UCLA.

Duarte's decision brings the number of UCLA underclassmen who have declared for the draft up to six. Myles Jack, Kenny Clark, Alex Redmond, Paul Perkins and Caleb Benenoch have all previously decided to enter this year's NFL draft.

I know I will definitely miss my favorite touchdown call from this past season. "Touchdown, Duarte!"

We wish Thomas the best of luck as he pursues his dream of an NFL career and thank him for his contributions to UCLA Football.

UPDATE: Thomas Duarte sent out this tweet late this afternoon.

Go Bruins!!!
