UCLA Commit Dorian Thompson-Robinson’s Gaels Continue to Roll

Points were finally scored against Bishop Gorman, but they win nonetheless 51-6

High School Football: St. Dematha at Bishop Gorman Joshua Dahl-USA TODAY Sports

Stop the presses! Bishop Gorman’s defense did the unthinkable, they allowed points to be scored. For the first time since September 16th the Gaels allowed a score, but they still dominated 51-6 against Faith Lutheran in last Thursday’s 2017 NIAA 4A Sunset Region Semifinal game.

UCLA commit Dorian Thompson-Robinson was a perfect 8-for-8 through the air for 100 yards, and also added a 5-yard rushing TD that is shown below. Having a future QB at UCLA where there is truly an option for the QB to read the defensive-end in a zone read look and either run or hand-off is exciting.

UCLA Recruiting

The last few weeks have been tough for the UCLA Bruins in terms of recruiting, with a number of recruits de-committing from UCLA. Thompson-Robinson had his own take on these recent de-commits, and his strong presence on social media allowed the world to see his thoughts and his still strong commitment to UCLA.

According to a Blair Angulo’s 247Sports.com interview with DTR, DTR made his feelings very clear about the recent de-commits. "No disrespect to those that have de-committed, but our [those still committed] main focus is keeping the elite guys to stay and find new, bigger, better players to commit to us instead of sobbing over the de-commits."

Let’s hope that Thompson-Robinson’s and UCLA’s search for bigger and better players is successful.

Good luck this week DTR!
