It turns out that the Bruins will face the Kansas State WIldcats, who the Bruins defeated in the 2015 Alamo Bowl.
One thing which will be missing from this year’s contest is the bad blood between recently dismissed UCLA coach Jim Mora and K-State coach Bill Snyder. At the end of that Alamo Bowl game, Mora famously refused to shake hands with the Wildcats coach because Mora felt like Snyder’s players were trying to injure UCLA quarterback Brett Hundley while the Bruins were in Victory formation and Hundley taking a knee.
Here are the details of this year’s bowl game:
All things being equal, the fact that this year’s team is going to a bowl game at all is a plus. The team will get the extra practice a bowl game brings along with the extra experience of the game itself.
It’s a good way for the team to start off the Chip Kelly era.
Go Bruins!!!
