NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport is reporting that Washington Redskins QB coach Kevin O’Connell has turned down an offer to become Chip Kelly’s offensive coordinator for the UCLA Bruins. Rapoport tweeted out the news this morning.

Offensive coordinator is the biggest open position still remaining on Chip Kelly’s staff.

Here’s a look at where the staff stands:

2018 UCLA Football Staff

Position Staff Member
Position Staff Member
Offensive Coordinator/QBs TBD
Running Backs DeShaun Foster
Offensive Line Hank Fraley
Tight Ends Angus McClure
Wide Receivers Jimmie Dougherty
Defensive Coordinator Jerry Azzinaro
Defensive Line Vince Oghobasse
Linebackers Don Pellum
Defensive Backs Paul Rhoads
Special Teams Coordinator Roy Manning
Strength and Conditioning Frank Wintrich
Strength Assistant Vincent Croce
Director of Player Personnel Geoff Martzen
Offensive Analyst Thad Lewis
Offensive Graduate Assistant Jerry Neuheisel

As much as UCLA fans would be delighted, it probably won’t be Jedd Fisch. If Fisch was in line for the job, he would already have been offered the opportunity to stay. So, he’s out.

So, who do you think will be Kelly’s next choice? Leave a comment below.
