The 2018 NFL Draft kicks off tonight at 5pm PT with Round 1 and continues through Saturday.
Just like last year, there are a lot of UCLA Bruins eligible for this draft. At the top of the list, of course, is UCLA quarterback Josh Rosen. The list also includes Kolton Miller, Jordan Lasley, Scott Quessenberry, Kenny Young, Darren Andrews, Matt Dickerson, Jaleel Wadood, and Austin Roberts.
This year’s draft is being held at AT&T Stadium (aka Jerry’s World) in Arlington, Texas. There are several firsts occurring with this year’s draft. This is the first time the NFL Draft has taken place in Texas. It’s a the first time that the NFL Draft will take place in an NFL stadium. This is also the first time that the NFL Draft will be broadcast on over-the-air channels.
As usual, ESPN, ESPN2 and NFL Network will be covering it all at various points over the next three days. There are also two newcomers this year. Fox will broadcast the first two days for the very first time, while ABC will broadcast ESPN’s feed over the air as well.
And, again, you can actually listen to draft coverage on satellite radio.
That's important to know, especially for today's first round. Here on the West Coast, the Draft starts at 5pm PT. That's quitting time for a lot of us in the Pacific time zone. So, if you have Sirius or XM in your car you can listen to their draft coverage during your commute home.
As far as UCLA is concerned, there are a total of 22 Bruins who are eligible to be drafted and, while that would be awesome, the actual number drafted will probably be between 7 and 10 again this year.
That should make this another exciting drafts for Bruin fans.
Of course, this is the best place to keep tabs on what’s going on with the Draft today.
So, contribute your thoughts below and join your fellow UCLA fans as we watch Josh, Kolton, Jordan, Kenny and the rest of the Bruins move on to the next level.
This is your 2018 NFL Draft Round 1 Open Thread.
Go Bruins!!!
