The 2019 NFL Draft kicks off tonight at 5pm PT with Round 1 and continues through Saturday.
Just like last year, there are a lot of UCLA Bruins eligible for this draft. At the top of the list, of course, is UCLA tight end Caleb Wilson. The list also includes Andre James, Bolu Olorunfunmi, Wilton Speight, Christian Pabico, Stefan Flintoft, Adarius Pickett, and Nate Meadors.
This year’s draft is being held in Nashville, Tennessee.
As usual, ESPN, ESPN2 and NFL Network will be covering it all at various points over the next three days. While Fox broadcast the draft last year, they won’t this year. Instead, ABC will offer an over-the-air broadcast with a feed that’s different from ESPN’s coverage.
And, again, you can actually listen to draft coverage on satellite radio.
That's important to know, especially for today's first round. Here on the West Coast, the Draft starts at 5pm PT. That's quitting time for a lot of us in the Pacific time zone. So, if you have Sirius or XM in your car you can listen to their draft coverage during your commute home.
As far as UCLA is concerned, there are a total of just 9 Bruins who are eligible to be drafted and, while that would be awesome, it’s actually possible that not one Bruin will be drafted this year.
If that happens, it could make this boring draft for Bruin fans. Although, it will be interesting to see what the Arizona Cardinals do with their first overall draft pick. Will they keep it and draft Kyler Murray and trade Josh Rosen? Or, will they keep Rosen and trade the pick?
Of course, this is the best place to keep tabs on what’s going on with the Draft today.
So, contribute your thoughts below and join your fellow UCLA fans as we wait to see which Bruins will move on to the next level.
This is your 2019 NFL Draft Round 1 Open Thread.
Go Bruins!!!
UPDATE (4/26/2019 4 pm PT): Since there were no Bruins drafted yesterday and there weren’t a ton of comments yesterday, we’ll use this as our open thread for Day 2 as well. - JP
