According to an article on ArizonaSports.com, ASU QB Taylor Kelly broke a bone in his left foot during Saturday night's win over Colorado. The site says multiple sources have confirmed this information. He is expected to miss at least a month.
After injuring his foot on a rushing play, Kelly was seen on the sideline with crutches. Yesterday, ESPN's Joe Schad tweeted that Kelly was unlikely to play against UCLA. So, this news is not unexpected, at least as far as the UCLA game is concerned.
It certainly makes things interesting as Kelly has started every ASU game that Todd Graham has coached. It is expected that backup QB Mike Bercovici who took over for Kelly on Saturday will make the start.
