Jerry Neuheisel Undergoes Thumb Surgery - Not Available as a Backup QB For 2 Weeks

Chris Foster is reporting that Jerry Neuheisel had surgery on his right thumb and probably only will be available to hold for kicks:

"He'll be fine," offensive coordinator Noel Mazzone said. "He's a couple weeks from being able to throw. He just can't put the pressure on the football."

Uhm, so this means walk-on Mike Fafaul is going to be back-up for next two weekends as Asiantii Woulard is red-shirting this season. Oy.
