UCLA Softball To Host L.A. Regional This Weekend

The Bruin softball team starts its pursuit of National Championship #113.

The UCLA Women's Softball team has earned the #7 national seed for the NCAA Tournament and will host the Los Angeles Regional beginning this Friday. Besides the Bruins, the Los Angeles Regional bracket will include CSUN, San Diego St. and Texas.

The regionals are is a double elimination series. The winner of the Los Angeles Regional will face the winner of the Columbia, MO Regional in the Super Regional. NCAA.com has a full interactive bracket posted.


A three-day ticket package is on sale now. Prices for all-session passes are $33 for adults and $22 for students (w/ valid ID) and youth (ages 3-16).

Single-day tickets will also be available day of game at Easton Stadium ticket office. Prices will be $12 for adults and $8 for students/youth.

The schedule for the weekend looks like this:

Friday, May 15
Game 1 - San Diego St. vs. Texas @ 3 pm
TV: ESPN 3
Game 2 - UCLA vs. CSUN @ 5:30 pm
TV: ESPN 3

Saturday, May 16
Game 3 - Game 1 Winner vs. Game 2 Winner @ 12 pm 
Game 4 - Game 1 Loser vs. Game 2 Loser @ 2:30 pm
Game 5 - Game 3 Loser vs. Game 4 Winner @ 5 pm

Sunday, May 17
Game 6 - Game 3 Winner vs. Game 5 Winner @ 12 pm 
Game 7 - Game 6 Winner vs. Game 6 Loser @ 2:30 pm (if necessary) 

All games will be played at Easton Stadium on campus.
