The Bruins will be looking to defend their 2018 National Championship at the NCAA Beach Volleyball Tournament this coming weekend.

Savvy Simo and the rest of the UCLA Beach Volleyball team will look to defend their 2018 national championship when the 2019 NCAA Tournament starts on Friday.

The defending national champion UCLA beach volleyball team (31-3) has earned the #2 seed in the NCAA Beach Volleyball Tournament.

As a result of that seeding, the Bruins will face the #7 seed Hawai’i Rainbow Wahine in Dual #3 on Friday at 9 am PT. The winner of the match will move on to face the winner of Dual #4 between #3 seed Florida State and #6 seed Cal Poly Mustangs while the loser will drop into the elimination bracket and play in Dual #6 against the loser of Dual #4.

While UCLA has only lost three matches all season, all three losses came against the top-seeded Southern Cal Trojans over the past three weeks. Overall, UCLA is 2-3 against Southern Cal this season.

But, none of that matters now.

As we saw last year, the only that matters is winning going forward and even one loss in the NCAA Tournament is not fatal as it is a double elimination tournament prior to the championship match.

Here is the complete bracket.

Hopefully, the Bruins are able to head to Gulf Shores this week and come back home with NC #117!

Go Bruins!!! Bring home NC #117!
