In the second round of the NCAA Regionals, UCLA remained in sixth place by shooting a 4-under 276 and the Bruins now have a two-day total of 9-under 551. UCLA had previously been tied with Florida, South Carolina, and Purdue, who all dropped on the leaderboard on Tuesday.

UCLA is now three strokes behind Colorado State for fifth place and the Bruins are fourteen strokes behind leader Texas A&M. In order to move on the NCAA Championships, UCLA will need to make their move today on the final round of regional competition because only the top five teams will advance.

UCLA’s top players are now Eddy Lai, Devon Bling, and Hidetoshi Yoshihara, who are all tied for 26th place overall at 2-under 138. Cole Madey had been in 9th after round one, but he slipped to 32nd after shooting a 2-over 72 yesterday. Patrick Murphy from UCLA ended the day tied for 49th. He shot a 3-over 73 yesterday and his two-day score is a 2-over 142.

Second round play is scheduled to begin at 7:30 am PT this morning and UCLA is scheduled to tee off at 8:00 am PT. You can follow along using Golfstat.
