After placing third in the East Lansing Regional, the UCLA women’s golf team will now compete in the NCAA Championships in Fayetteville, Arkansas this weekend. Sophomore Patty Tavatanakit finished first overall at East Lansing with an 8-under 208 to lead the Bruins to the NCAA Championships.
The Bruins finished up the NCAA Regional by shooting a 10-under 874.
Now, UCLA squares off against the top 24 teams in the country in Arkansas. Today, tomorrow, and Sunday will feature stroke play beginning at 5:15 am PT, with the last tee time each day at 1:45 pm PT. The top 15 teams and nine individuals will advance to the final round of stroke play on Monday, May 20, with tee times starting at 9 am PT.
The top eight teams will advance to quarterfinal and semifinal match play on Tuesday, May 21, beginning at 5:00 am PT with the championship on Wednesday, May 22. The Golf Channel will cover the final round of stroke play and all rounds of match play.
