It's a big recruiting night for the Four Letters as Jim Mora's Bruins just got a commitment from a four-star cornerback from Houston, Texas:
The school that I choose to make the next step of my career will be to the UCLA Bruins #8clap. I want to thank everyone for the support! 🙏

Brandon Huffman notes Plattenburg is a Southern California kid who is coming home:
Plattenburg played at Corona (Calif.) Centennial as a 2012 junior before moving back to Texas.

As mentioned above he is a four-star CB and he has almost 20 offers from BCS programs including pretty much all Pac-12 programs, Oklahoma, Wisconsin and Tennessee.
Here are some highlights of him courtesy of ESPN from the NIke Football Training Camp in Oakland this summer:
And some highlights from his junior year at Corona Centennial:
John should be a solid addition to our defensive backfield. With him on board Bruins now have 13 commits for the class of 2013, which is currently ranked 36 th in the nation.
Welcome to Westwood John.
GO BRUINS.
