Steve Alford was desperately hoping for a miraculous jolt on the recruiting trail today. He didn't get it as he swung and miss with five-star recruit Justice Winslow, who picked Duke over UCLA and other schools.
With early signing period now over Alford's recruiting class still lacks what UCLA desperately need most - a legitimate, elite point-guard, who can lead the Bruins back to where they belong.
Bruins still don't have any true PG in the program even though Alford continues to hype his son as an "athletic" option in UCLA's backcourt. Good times. Someone pass another bottle of Chianti.
