Darian Owens is listed at 6-0 and 192 and is rated as the #20 wide receiver by Rivals, and the #4 ATH in California by Scout. He plays for Clovis West HS in Fresno. Here you can see his Rivals profile Rivals profile, his Scout profile, and his 247 profile.
Owens picked the Bruins over USC, Notre Dame, Oregon, Fresno State, Washington and Oregon State. Eric Yarber and Scott White were listed as his primary recruiters.
Owens had a prolific junior season at Clovis West where he caught 43 passes for 882 yards and 7 touchdowns. You can see his junior year highlights in his Hudl video.
You can see he is fast and elusive. He can turn on the jets when he needs to. Yet, he has the ability to break tackles and pick up big gains with his feet. That combination makes him ideal for the UCLA offense under Noel Mazzone and no doubt contributed to his decision today.
Welcome to Westwood, Darian!
GO BRUINS!! BOOM!!
