BOOM! Crespi FB Jalen Starks Commits to UCLA

Jalen Starks committed to UCLA just hours after receiving a scholarship offer from the school. Starks is rated by Scout as the #2 fullback in the country.

Starks is 6-1 and weighs 240 lbs. Brandon Hoffman of Scout.com quotes Starks as saying:

I knew if they offered, I was going to commit, so I was just relieved when they offered. Now I can go and ball out my senior year. My family is beyond excited. It's exciting to play close to home.

Starks was recruited to UCLA by Coaches McClure and Polamalu. It wouldn't be surprising to see UCLA pick up some additional recruits this year and next from Crespi considering that Coach McClure's son Hamish is a sophomore QB on the Crespi football team.

Starks told Scout that he's already working on defensive end Marcus Moore who was also offered on Thursday by UCLA. Starks said, "I'm already working on Marcus to get him to go with me and ball out at UCLA."
