BOOM! Crespi DL Marcus Moore Commits to UCLA

A day after Crespi High teammate Jalen Starks committed to UCLA, 3-star defensive end Marcus Moore has followed suit by pledging to the Bruins.

Yesterday, 3-star Crespi High FB Jalen Starks committed to UCLA, and as JoeBruin15 noted, Starks was busy trying to convince a teammate to join him:

Starks told Scout that he's already working on defensive end Marcus Moore who was also offered on Thursday by UCLA. Starks said, "I'm already working on Marcus to get him to go with me and ball out at UCLA."

Evidently Starks didn't have to work too hard on Moore. Less than 24 hours later, Marcus Moore announced his commitment to UCLA.

Moore is 6'3" and weighs 240 lbs. He's the 53rd-ranked DE nationally according to Scout, and the fifth-ranked DE in California.

Like Jalen Starks, Moore is looking forward to playing close to home. According to Brandon Huffman of Scout.com:

"I think my family would like to watch me play close by and I would actually like that."

Moore had offers from Miami, Washington State, Nevada and Montana State. He was recruited by Coach McClure, although Jalen Starks probably deserves a bit of credit as well.
