BOOM! UCLA Lands 5-Star DE Oluwole Betiku

UCLA picked up one of its most sought after recruits this afternoon when 5-star DE Oluwole Betiku of Serra HS in Gardena committed to the Bruins.

Betiku announced his decision on his Twitter account.

Betiku is rated as the 11th best player overall in the nation and the top prospect in the state of California by 247Sports.com. He is 6' 3.5" tall and weighs in at 240 lbs. He was recruited by Angus McClure and Adrian Klemm.

UCLA beat out numerous other schools to land Betiku including Southern Cal. Many of the so-called "experts" thought Betiku would select the school across town because many Serra players have chosen Southern Cal in the past.

Today, Betiku proved them wrong.

Betiku joins a talented 2016 recruiting class for UCLA which also includes Osa Odighizuhwa, the younger brother of Owa, and Marcus Moore. The trio give UCLA a strong group of defensive linemen coming into the program.
