The UCLA Men’s Soccer team has added a goalkeeper to its 2016 recruiting class which was already ranked as the number five recruiting class in the country by Top Drawer Soccer. Kevin Silva, who currently plays for Player Development Academy in Somerset, NJ, signed his National Letter of Intent yesterday to play for UCLA, according to an article on the official UCLA website.
Silva is ranked as a four-star recruit by Top Drawer Soccer and number 13 in the Top Drawer Soccer IMG 150. Top Drawer Soccer also ranks him as the top goalkeeper in the country. He is also ranked number 6 in the College Soccer News Top 150.
Silva, who is 6’ 1" tall and weighs 185 lbs., has been the starting goalkeeper on the U.S. U-19 and U-17 Men’s National teams.
Silva joins four other signees as part of the 2016 recruiting class. Previously, the UCLA Men’s Soccer had announced the signing of defender Reggie Cannon, forward Jason Romero, defender Ethan Shacknai and goalkeeper Duncan Werling.
