On Saturday, Bellflower three-star CB Jeffrey Manning, Jr. received an offer from UCLA. At the time, he tweeted that UCLA is his dream school.

Last night, the dream became reality when he committed to the Bruins via Twitter. In his tweet, Manning wrote:

First off I wanna thank all the schools that have recruited me and shown interest in my talents up to this point. But nothing is possibls without the works of Jesus Christ. I wanna thank my beloved family, coaches, 2017 Greats and RNLF who have been in my corner throughout this whole process...

With that being said I would like to announce that I will be continuing my academic and athletic career at THE University of California Los Angeles #4’sUP #8CLAP RIP MARKCUS AARON HARRIS #Markcus5

Manning is 6’1" tall and weighs in at 182 lbs. He runs the shuttle in 4.84 seconds and has a 32.2" vertical jump.

Here are Manning’s junior year highlights from Hudl:

In an article on Bruin Report Online, Scout National Director of Recruiting Brandon Huffman writes about Manning:

Manning had just one offer at the end of April, from Montana State, but the evaluation period saw his stock soar, and he ended up with nearly 20 offers.

But the offer from the Bruins was the big one, Manning earning it after the Sound Mind Sound Body camp in Los Angeles last weekend.

National Signing Day may be a long way away, but, with UCLA as Manning’s "dream school", the chances he will change his mind seem less likely.

Welcome to Westwood, Jeffery!

Go Bruins!!
