Following on the heels of Odua Isibor’s commitment early this morning, UCLA picked up their second commitment of the day when 3-star DB Morrell Osling from Antelope Valley HS in Lancaster announced his commitment to UCLA via Twitter:

Osling’s Hudl page lists him at 6’3” and 175 lbs. The speedy Osling garnered offers from multiple schools as a DB despite only playing one full year at the position, as prior to this year he was a full-time quarterback for Antelope Valley. Osling is speedy, and the overall consensus is that UCLA is taking him as a general athlete, though he has the frame to play safety at the next level. Osling also won the state Triple Jump championship in 2016.
Morrell Osling was a longtime Colorado commit who reopened his recruitment a few weeks ago. Osling came to Westwood last weekend on an official visit, and decided to switch his commitment to the Bruins a few days later. It probably helps that his teammate, Moses Robinson-Carr, committed to the Bruins last week. It probably also helps that Osling’s HS coach is former UCLA RB Jermaine Lewis.
Here is Osling’s senior year highlight video from Hudl:
Welcome to Westwood, Morrell!
Go Bruins!
