On a day when the main source of news about UCLA Basketball had to do with shoplifting and Chinese police questioning current UCLA players, the Bruins were able to land a commitment from 3-star center out of Huntington Prep in West Virginia.

According to 247Sports, Nwuba is ranked as the No. 235 overall player in the Class of 2018 and the No. 16 center in the class. Nwuba is a 6’10 center and based on the video below, he exhibits some solid athletic ability and should be a solid rim protector for the Bruins.
Nwuba chose UCLA over schools such as Baylor, Arizona, Arizona State, California, DePaul, Georgia Tech, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Penn State, Virginia, and Virginia Tech, among others. UCLA was his only official visit.
Nwuba joins current 2018 recruits Jules Bernard and David Singleton.
