UCLA’s recruiting class added another quality receiver yesterday when 4-star WR Chase Cota from South Medford HS in Medford, OR committed to the Bruins.

Cota made the announcement yesterday at a ceremony at his school where he picked the Bruins over Alabama, California, Georgia, Notre Dame, Oregon and Southern Cal.

Scout.com’s Brandon Huffman has an article about Cota’s announcement where Cota is quoted as saying:

The campus is beautiful and big, but not too big which is nice. The new facility is amazing. It's a lot like Oregon, but the difference is it's in Los Angeles. I love L.A. and the area of L.A. the school is in is second to none. I mean, you're going there partly for football but its a great environment.

I am certainly excited about Chip Kelly getting the job. And Coach Dougherty has also been recruiting me the hardest of just about everybody.

Soon after making the announcement at school, Cota posted this video to his Twitter account.

According to Cota’s Hudl profile, he is 6’4” tall and weighs 195 lbs. He runs the 40-yard dash in 4.53 seconds and has a 36.5” vertical jump.

Here are Cota’s senior season highlights.

Huffman notes that Cota plans to sign with UCLA next week during the new football early signing period and that he plans to enroll in January after he plays in the US Army All-American Bowl in San Antonio.

Welcome to Westwood, Chase!

Go Bruins!!!
