UCLA Football picked up the third commitment of the 2018 recruiting class late today when three-star defensive tackle Aaron Maldonado from Bishop Amat HS in La Puente announced on Twitter that he is committing to the Bruins.

Maldonado is 6’3” tall and weighs 290 lbs. He bench presses 350 lbs. and can deadlift 455 lbs., according to his Hudl.com profile.
Aaron’s uncle later tweeted video on Twitter of Aaron actually committing on a video call with UCLA Defensive Line Coach Angus McClure. Maldonado told McClure, “Well, coach, let’s just get straight to it. I’ve been thinking it over with my family and we’d like to commite to UCLA.”
Coach McClure responded, “I think you’ll be a great fit at UCLA. You’ve done nothing but get better and better. I think you’re going to be a great college football player.”
