Blake McDonald visited the UCLA campus on Saturday while the Bruins held their third practice of the Spring. He left campus today as a Bruin.
The 6’5”, 295 lbs offensive lineman from San Ramon Valley HS in Danville made his announcement on Twitter.

In his tweet, McDonald wrote:
First of all, I would like to thank all of the coaches and schools that have recruited me. After a great day visiting the campus, I’m thrilled to announce my commitment to UCLA! #8Clap #4’sUp

According to 247sports.com, McDonald chose UCLA over six other Pac-12 schools which had offered him a scholarship, including Arizona State, California, Colorado, Oregon State, Utah and Washington State.
According to the 247Sports Composite ranking, he is the 45th best offensive guard in the 2018 recruiting class.
